Last night at book club, we chose our selections for the next seven months. Here is the list:
September: The Help by Kathryn Stockett
October: The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry
November: My Sister, My Love by Joyce Carol Oates
December: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
Have you read any of these books? Any books I should look forward to reading?

Guernsey & The Help were two of my favorite reads last year! The Angel game is good but I like Shadow of the Wind better.
I see your reading Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie its Great too!
Look forward to all the discussions!
Wow, that looks like a great list. The book club I'm in read Shanghai Girls last month, and we all enjoyed it. There was much to discuss, and some of the members shared personal - sometimes emotional - stories of their own experiences with sisterhood, which was so nice.
Shanghai Girls and Guernsey are two great ones. I have The Help on my TBR list, but have seen very mixed reviews of it. I think tho, you won't go wrong with any of your selections, and they all should provide plenty of fuel for discussion.
I absolutely loved Shanghai Girls! Our group just picked the Potato Peel Society to read within the next year too. We also want to read The Help, but will probably wait until it's in paperback.
I'm so wishing right now I was in your book club! They all are books I've been wanting to read (will except one) and what a perfect excuse, but to read them with the library book club! I hope you enjoy them, Jess.
