Friday Finds -- 6/4

Happy Friday! I am going camping this weekend and bringing along a few trusty books to keep me entertained, but before I leave here is my Friday Find. My find this week is This Must Be the Place by Kate Racculia (available 7/6). Here is the Barnes and Noble description:

A sudden death, a never-mailed postcard, and a long-buried secret set the stage for a luminous and heartbreakingly real novel about lost souls finding one another.

I know, I know -- the blurb is too short! So for more info, go to the author's website!

What did you find this week? This meme is hosted by Should Be Reading.

Happy camping! Great idea to go after Memorial weekend. Thanks for sharing this book - looks like a great read. I just finished a really funny one by Merih Turkdogan called, "The Little Book of Death." It's about one man's death, which takes place in one second. Absolutely loved this one. Right now you can read it for free on the author's website. I highly recommend this one!

This one sounds great! I'm going to look for it at my library.

Happy camping. Taking the right books is VERY important in such a situation. That's when you need a book you KNOW you will like, vs ones you HOPE you'll like.

I'm enjoying "The Eighth Scroll," by Laurence B. Brown. I'm a big fan of the Amelia Peabody books by Elizabeth Peters -- I love the fact-based archeological stuff they include. So here you have a prominent archeologist discovering reference to a long-hidden Dead See Scroll in an archeological dig -- and THAT sets off a game of cat and mouse, in seeking the hidden scroll. I've read other books that feature the Dead Sea Scrolls and enjoy them thoroughly -- want to know the hype? Read this and you'll find out -- and enjoy the heck out of yourself, too. At least I have so far.
