It's Monday! What are you reading? -- 8/2

This meme is hosted by Book Journey.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. The weather here (in Massachusetts) is really beautiful -- cool, sunny, and breezy. The perfect weather to sit outside with a book and something fruity to drink. I digress! This week, I am reading One Day by David Nicholls (interesting so far) and Look Again by Lisa Scottline (kind of terrible -- maybe I am just not in the mood?). Last week I finished the wonderful A Wife's Tale by Lori Lansens (review to come) but if you want to discuss the ending then shoot me an email (jedziedzAThotmailDOTcom) because I have a lot of confusion and disappointment brewing (and I absolutely loved this novel). I also reviewed the fantastic This Must Be The Place by Kate Racculia (click on the title for my review).

What are you reading this week?

Wish I was in Mass. with you because the Midwest has been nothing but miserable hot. Hope it stays nice and that you have a great week reding.

I know what you mean when you have questions at the end of a book and want to talk about it. I feel the same way about one of the books I read this past week. My weekly report is here. Happy reading!

Jan -- Sorry to hear about the hot weather. If it helps, we should have another heat wave by the end of the week.

Kathy -- Yes, I definitely have questions. But it was such a good book that I was totally confused by the abrupt ending. Maybe a sequel?

Thanks for stopping by!

The weather there sounds wonderful! We've had some really amazingly hot days here in Virginia lately - not great for reading or doing much of anything outdoors.

Sorry to hear about Look Again - I've got that one on my TBR list, but maybe I'll have to reconsider.

Hope you enjoy all your reading this week!

I'd like to echo Jan in saying the Midwest has been miserable hot. Now it's not only miserable hot, it's also raining, raining, raining -- 5 inches overnight in some places but thank goodness not right where I am.

I like the sounds of a few of your books and plan to put the "Wife's Tale" on hold at the library when I'm done here.

I want to rave about a great reference for writers and readers and everyone else who loves words, "The Thinker's Thesaurus" by Peter Meltzer. Looking for a word? Don't get just the ordinary, get the interesting but real, with real-life examples. This is a second edition -- the two editions combined took more than 15 years to create, so you know the research is thorough. Beyond the incredible words you'll learn, this book is also entertaining.

Now, off to my library site.
